There’s that machine in the scrapyard with the giant magnet on it that lifts brokedown old automobiles and drops them into the machine that crushes them. Chicago’s the Treatment is the crushing machine, and the magnet; deep in the background there’s two men bare-knuckle boxing. The Treatment is mostly the guy winning and sometimes the guy losing. This is postpunk metal art rock like a nose being dislocated, like the din of a junkyard near the highway.
The trio’s Ear to Ground EP was released late 2003, followed by the Rich Man Dreams EP in 2005. The Treatment is no longer together.
