for a while now i've been in this habit of writing songs and recording them pretty much all at once. it's kind of fun; by the time i'm done writing all the parts of the song i'm done recording it. i mix it, master it, and usually i forget how to play it, and sometimes even the words.

i've been doing this a lot more lately and i figured it was time to make it all a bit more official. about the time i had decided this, one drunken night my lovely friend sam muttered something about the faults of these new century hairpins she was struggling with. i immediately scribbled this on a scrap of paper above the word "furzechat".

not unlike sam's new century hairpins, these simple songs have a lot more technology behind them than is really necessary. but hey, if they didn't, they'd just be ordinary hairpins.

my arsenal:
a gibson les paul guitar with mesa amplifier
a somewhat crummy yamaha keyboard
and some software (cubase and sound forge to be exact)
